CNB Bordeaux 60 "Osprey" WINS at the 2011 80th Anniversary JP Morgan Asset Management Round The Island Race
Finishing in 6 hrs 34 mins "Osprey" won the:
• Silver Gilt Roman Bowl & J.P Morgan Asset Management Salver for first overall ISCRS
• Crankshaw Bowl for Overall Winner in ISC Group 4
• Lloyds Bank Trophy for the First ISC Rating system boat to finish
• 1st in ISC Class 4A
This annual race around the Isle of Wight took place on the 25th June 2011, organized by the Island Sailing Club it is one of the largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.
Some 16,000 sailors faced wind speeds of up to 28 knots and there were huge swells to contend with off the Needles and at St. Catherine's as the record-breaking fleet of 1,900 yachts undertook this most famous 50 nautical mile west about Island circumnavigation on Saturday. The final number of boats to cross the finish line in Cowes was 1,302 and there were 438 retirements. The race is split into two main classes, ISC (Island Sailing Club) Rating Division consisting of 976 yachts & IRC Rating Division with 589 yachts, plus a few smaller groups amounting to 288 yachts.
"Osprey" is a Bordeaux 60 designed by Philippe Briand and built in 2009 by CNB in France. Based out of Dartmouth, "Osprey" is available for private and corporate charter.

Based out of Lymington for easy access into the Solent "Osprey" is provided with a professional and fully qualified crew, available for corporate or private day charter in the Solent and surrounding waters for up to 12 guests.
